Exams effects on students

This time of the year can be one of the best or most stressful times for students and even teachers. Review packets, studying, getting final grades. It’s all a mess that makes summer all worth it.
Exams force kids to really learn all the information well enough to take a test that determines their final grade. The constant studying and stacks of books can have a huge toll on students.
“Exam week and dead week are always super stressful. These past couple of weeks is the hardest I’ve worked before. It can be a lot sometimes but the countdown to summer helps me get through, Addie Barno (10) said.
Teachers, for the most part, try to be lenient and understanding during this time because they’re just as stressed as students. Some teachers offer fun parties and opportunities to make up grades.
“Mr Crawford had a cereal party this week where we all brought in cereal and milk and presented funny projects that could bring our grade up a whole letter grade. I really enjoyed this because it helped us relax and doing something fun while we’re so stressed out this week. The presentations were fun and helped us bring up our grade a lot,” Angela Montana (10) said.
