Last week the founder of Death Row Records, Marion “Suge” Knight was involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident. According to reports Knight was driving and killed a TV actor and injured another man, their names have not been released. He was immediately identified as a person of interest and turned himself in hours after original reports had been filed.

Knight pleads not guilty to the murder and other federal crimes and has not made his bail that is set at $2,025,000. Witnesses say he was behind the wheel of a truck when he, what looked intentional according to witnesses, hit and killed one man and injured another man.

His attorney told police that he was behind the wheel of the red Ford Raptor F-150 when the two men were struck but he was not aware that he had hit the two men.

“He did not have any knowledge that he hit anyone,” his attorney told the AP.

According to reports Knight was also hospitalized during his stay at the prison due to chest pains.

Knight is awaited a trial to determine whether or not he can make bail or if he must stay. He faces life in prison if proven guilty due to many other crimes other than the hit and run. Knight is not new to jail as he has spent time for assault crimes as well as events that happened the night of Tupac Shakur’s death.

His attorney says that Knight is remorseful for the death of his friends but that he did not kill them and is innocent.
