The annual haunted house occurs every year around the spooky week of the 23rd – 25th of October. This spooky event is never worth missing out on. It’s a very terrifying journey if you were to experience this event. The annual haunted house was created by our technical theater class, which has brought lots of attention among many of our students here every year it happens. Every year the theme changes what will it be this year!
“Every year we do a bunch of collective themes and put them all together. This year it opens into Coraline, then into Haunted hospital, following into the Sweeney Todd corridor, circus, Pirates, and ending with Beetlejuice.” says Lauryn Oneal (11). The haunted house this year is established as a very scary ordeal, for it brings a lot of smiles and laughs to many students’ faces. Which you wouldn’t want to miss out on.
“Normally it takes up too one-to-two weeks to set up, because of Hurricane Milton we met up on a Saturday and worked till 10am to 4pm on setting up the haunted house.” that being said the haunted house was a big project, “It’s a lot of work but it’s always a good outcome in the end though.” said Oneal. Now the haunted house has helped a lot for the theater program, working hard to reach the goals they have set for their class.
“$2 only to enter the haunted house per person, accepting cash and cash app. We use the money that we make to make our spring show of the year. “Charlie Hengstenberg (12) said. The haunted house is a “spooktacular” event for students, allowing them to experience a scary journey through the theater classroom.
“It was a fun time, I complimented a girl who was playing piano, and she did not break character.” many students are very eager about entering the haunted house this year, “I thought it was funny how they tried to scare me from the sides, and the back. It was fun seeing a girl do a backbend in front of me.” Stephanie Asieduahs (10) said. It brings lots of laughs and shocks to student’s faces seeing the incredible things the theater class has prepared this year for the haunted house.
The haunted house was a fun and scary event that happens every year and brings lots of students together to experience such an event close to Halloween. “This year is one of our best haunted houses yet, every year we get a little bit better. So far, the haunted house is looking even better based on how fast it had been done also.” Oneal and Hengstenberg said.
