Who is Kang?

Kang is actually a new introduced character as part of the recent phase of the Marvel Movies, but actually isn’t a new character in the Marvel World.

Kang the conqueror is actually a villain with no superpowers. Yeah it’s really surprising but there’s something he offers more however.

He’s a genius, a historical scholar, and a physicist, while also possessing technology which helps him tremendously.

Before being one of the most feared villains he was Nathaniel Richards, a descendant of Reed Richards’ of Fantastic Four’s father who was also named Nathaniel.

What makes him feared

As I’ve mentioned before it’s not the powers, because he doesn’t have any, it’s instead his brain and time traveling technology.

Even being able to travel back in time to become a pharaoh named Rama-tut, of course these are covered in the comics.

Something interesting is that he also has alternative versions of him which can make him unpredictable which is something that should really be feared.

He also has possession of technology from the future he uses to his great advantage.

In the MCU

In the MCU, Kang the Conqueror first appears in the Disney+ show ‘LOKI’ playing a variant of himself called “He Who Remains” where he has a great amount of power, creating the Time
Variance Authority aka TVA.

He then makes another appearance in the recent Marvel movie “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania,” where he demonstrates his power by killing several Avengers.

There’s also much more to come from him as he will appear as the variant ‘Victor Timely’ in Loki, and appearing as Kang in “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty”, and “Avengers: Secret War”

As Kang says in Loki, “To some of us, new worlds meant only one thing, new lands to be conquered.”
