Police knocked on 16 year old Alexander “Sash” Nemphos door in hopes of arresting the troubled teen for 3 counts of theft from vehicles in the parking lot of a small restaurant he is considered a “regular” at. While the police were investigating and questioning Nemphos he admit to another crime. He admitted to having 3 handmade bombs from common household items and a hand gun.

“In the course of interviewing this young man, the boy broke down and told him about these plans,”county police spokeswoman Elise Armacost said. “He showed the officer the gun. He showed him the explosive devices.”

They found that Nemphos had been planning to shoot and bomb a school of Baltimore County in Monkton, Maryland on October, 31st but was too intoxicated to carry out his plan.

The teen drank vodka before school and only put the hand gun in his backpack and forgot the bombs that were hidden behind his dresser and said he would carry out with the plan the following Monday without drinking. Nemphos stated he planned to “Shoot the school officers and as many teachers and students as possible.” After the bomb squad took all three of the explosive devices out of Nemphos room, he was sent for a psychiatric evaluation at a juvenile detention center where he is also being held and charged with several counts with possession of destructive devices, theft and a hand gun. Police have not said if there are any more people that are responsible for the plans but say so far believe he acted alone.
