Everyone cheers and chants heightened an already charged atmosphere putting an exclamation point to the end of an already energetic day.
“The pep rally was amazing, no but really it was so fun and totally hyped. It was absolutely everything I dreamed of and so much more.” Vanessa Dela Cruz (9) said. “The pep rally is how I expected and wanted to be.”
Of course, beyond nearly 1500 students cheering for their classes and school pride, there were also the games that had a bit of bragging rights for each class. One of the games was tug of war between each grade. The freshmen beat the sophomores and seniors appeared to destroy the junior class.
Some of the students felt the pep rally was exactly what the campus needed to start the school year.
“All I can say is that this year in high school is going to be totally amazing and super awesome, totally cool” Tifanni Flemister (9) said. “The pep rally was so awesome.”
One of the highlights was the musical chairs game, which had everyone on the edge of their seats. Then came the second game, “Pop the Balloon,” which brought a burst of energy. Teams had to pop balloons between their chests, dash across the gym, grab another balloon, and race back to pop it again with their partners. It was fast-paced and filled with laughter, making the rally a memorable experience for everyone!
“All I can say is, this year is going to be the best year ever,” Flemister (9) said. “Also, I would love to see more things.”
