What’s new
In the latest installment of the franchise that dates all the way back to 1976, there’s been some new additions to the movie.

Primarily, the biggest addition is Jonathan Majors who plays “Damian Anderson” in the new film, a childhood friend turned opponent.

This is huge for not only the movie but for Majors himself, as this is his second biggest project he’s played in besides the recent marvel film “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” which released on February 17.

A big addition was also the usage of IMAX cameras, which was amazing as this will make Creed 3 the first sports movie to be filmed on IMAX cameras.

Additional Info about the movie

This movie also is Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut, which is significant considering he’s the lead character in the big budget movie.

Another thing which is huge to the whole entire franchise that’s been around for nearly 50 years, is that Sylvester Stallone isn’t in the movie, the guy who created the franchise and starred in the ROCKY franchise.

The numbers so far

Creed 3 came out on March 3rd, so the numbers of its success so far has already been released and their amazing.

In it’s opening weekend, it already grossed a worldwide total of $100.5 million, with $58.7 million coming from the U.S. and Canada, and $41.8 million in other territories, respectively.

This was good enough to make it the best grossing opening weekend for a sports film.

On Rotten Tomatoes, 87% of critics rated it positively, while on Fandango, 96% of critics rated it positively.

With Rotten Tomatoes saying “the Creed franchise reasserts its champion status thanks to star Michael B Jordan’s direction and a nuanced heel turn by Jonathan majors.”

For people like me who have yet to watch the movie, we still have plenty of time in theatres as it has just released but the pressure is building to watch this highly rated movie.
