Staying at home all day with your family members might be driving some of us crazy…

Here are 5 ways to avoid boredom during quarantine:

  1. Invest in a good streaming network.

Companies like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and Youtube TV offer a variety of different shows and movies that will keep you occupied while you stay home. There’s a different streaming service for everyone’s needs and most of them cost less than 15 dollars a month. With a good pair of noise canceling headphones and a new show, you can escape even the most persistent annoying family member.

  1. Look into a book membership.

During this lockdown, it’s hard to find a library that’s still open. Book of the Month offers an awesome program that allows it’s subscribers to pick a new and trending book. This option will keep you engrossed in a good book and allow you to practice social distancing because the book is shipped to you.

  1. See the world ! (Kind of)

Virtual sightseeing is the kind of hobby most people say they don’t have enough time for. Now, everyone has a touch of cabin fever. Virtual tours are a fun way to spend a little bit of downtime and they allow you to experience amazing places. Popular virtual tours include experiencing places like Machu Picchu, The Taj Mahal, NYC’s Time Square, dozens of famous museums, and so much more. You can see the world right from your couch!

  1. Start a new Hobby.

Now that you’re spending all your time at home, it would be a good idea to start looking into a  hobby. Whether it’s learning to crochet or writing in a bullet journal, finding a new thing you’re passionate about will help you get through this quarantine. There are several cost efficient and easy tasks that anyone can start and they’re guaranteed to keep you entertained. Finding something you enjoy might also help relieve stress in crazy times like this.

  1. Learn the Lingo

Everyone always says they want to be bilingual, but they insist they never have the time. Now that we’re all at home, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to try to learn that language you’ve always wanted to know. There are 1-on-1 language classes and downloadable language apps that are convenient and allow you to go at your own pace. Learning a new language will not only divert your focus; you can teach yourself new things and expose yourself to other cultures. Plus, imagine how cool it’d be if you came out of quarantine speaking French?!?
