For many people, Vine was an iconic social media platform where individuals from all over the world could find dank memes. Unfortunately, in 2016, Vine came to an end when the creators shut it down. To many students at Freedom High School, this was a very sad time. However, the creator of Vine recently tweeted out saying that a second Vine was being worked on and will be released very soon.  

Leo Batista, 10, claims, “I was pretty upset when it shut down, but I’m happy that it is coming back because I miss the old memes.” Batista is expecting Vine 2 to have some “good comedy and to be way better than the first Vine.”  

AJ Taylor, 12, was shocked when he found out that Vine 2 was coming back.

Said Taylor, “I’m excited that Vine is coming back, it was an amazing platform where anyone was able to become famous and I can’t wait to see the updates it has for us.” 

Sam Burson, 12, also had a lot to share about Vine.

“I’m very excited that Vine is coming back because it was a very good time of my life when it was here, so I’m excited. However, I don’t feel like it will live up the hype because nothing will be as good as the first vine.”

Vine was very much missed, and the students of Freedom High School are very excited to see its revival in Vine 2.
