Freedom High School Choir Prepares For Fall Concert

Members of the Freedom High School Choir have been persistently working towards perfecting their performance for the upcoming fall concert. For this performance, Freedom will be accompanied by Liberty Middle School’s choir, which allows younger singers to experience a taste of high school chorus.

Bravo Company President Luis Nunez, 12, described his expectations for the concert.

“I, personally, think this is going to be a fun concert,” Nunez stated. “We have been having sectionals, which is where each voice part – soprano, alto, tenor, bass – get together and practice the parts alone. This is one of the ways that we have prepared.”

During rehearsals, chorus teacher Ms. White lead the class by playing the piano at the parts that the students were unfamiliar with. This ensured that the singers were always singing in harmony and on the right pitch.

“I’m especially proud of the songs that we have chosen for this concert because most of them promote peace and love, because honestly, that is just what we need at the moment,” Nunez said. “So please come join us for a night full of unity and music!”
