Homicide in Pebble Creek

Recently, the quiet neighborhood of Pebble Creek in New Tampa was shaken by three deaths in an apparent murder suicide. Deputies found three bodies inside the home after a search warrant was issued following a 911 call.

A coworker made a stop by the house, due to one of the victims not showing up for work, only to receive no response after knocking on the door. When she looked through the window she spotted three dead bodies. A 911 call was made immediately. After hours of searching the house a colonel from Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office stated that the victims had been shot.

Dalton Smith, a high school student who lives in Pebble Creek also had some words, “It’s hard to believe that a neighborhood as quiet as Pebble Creek can have such harsh acts of violence.”

All three victims were in-laws and it was actually not the first time the police had been to that house. The neighbors stated that the police had been to the home once before due to a domestic violence dispute. The woman who originally made the 911 call was friends with a victim and said that she felt that her friend was not safe in that house and that it seemed like something bad was going to happen.

This is not the first time a murder has occurred in Pebble Creek.

“I used to visit Pebble Creek a lot and about a year ago I was visiting friends who lived four houses away from a stabbing,” said Lisa Strickland.

New details are still developing on the homicide as to exactly what happened.
