Toddler Traffics Illegal Drug

What looked like an innocent four year old sharing candy with her classmate immediately changed to the arrest of 30 year old Ashley Tull, for possession of over 249 bags of heroin. Tull’s four year old daughter was found passing out open bags of heroin to her classmates at Hickory Tree Child Care Center in Selbyville, Delaware. Police say the child ended up with the drugs when her mother gave her another backpack after hers was destroyed by a family pet.

Luckily, teachers and daycare staff were able to take away the substance immediately.

According to the police, “The children who received the unopened bags were immediately taken to nearby hospitals as a precautionary measure, but were soon released.”

While most consider this shocking, this event has happened many times before. A kindergartner in Missouri floored his teacher and local law enforcement officers when police say he brought his mother’s crack pipe and an ounce of drugs from his backpack to school for show and tell. The child’s mother was charged with possession of a controlled substance and one count of first-degree child endangerment.

“Ashley R. Tull, 30, of Selbyville, was charged Monday with maintaining a drug property and three counts of child endangering, then freed on $6,000 secured bail,” police officers explained.

Tull originally had custody of three children, the 4 year old girl who started the entire investigation, her 9 year old son, and 11 year old daughter. They are being taken to a relative until the investigation is complete. Tull is prohibited from speaking to her children at this time.
