Get Live!
Playlist Live is a three-day event that starts on March 21st and ends on March 23rd. This event hosts gatherings for fans, creators and supporters of online videos in both Orlando, Florida and the Tri-State Area. It began in 2011 and was created by District Lines. Playlist Live allows you to learn more about online video production from experienced creators, make new friends, meet your favorite YouTuber’s, dance along to your favorite songs with thousands of other people and so much more.
“I wanted to go to Playlist so bad! I really wanted to meet my favorite youtubers, like Zoella,” freshman Zoe Donofrio said.
It’s no surprise Youtube and youtubers are making a big impact on our society today and are continuing to grow. Playlist Live 2014 was the biggest one yet. It went from previously selling 4,000 tickets to selling out months before the event even began setting up. The venue this year was The Caribe Royale, which was deemed the host of Playlist Live last year.
This year’s Playlist Live was definitely an amazing experience. They added new events; for instance, a pool party and live performances.
Unfortunately, this year it was very crowded and the hotel was not pleased with the decision to increase the amount of people allowed to come.
Overall, everyone this year seemed to have a lot of fun and is counting down the days for Playlist Live 2015.
“Playlist Live looked like so much fun. I wish I could have gone, but by the time I tried to buy a ticket they were sold out. I’m hoping I can go next year,” freshman Maegan Sherman said.
