How well has Joe Biden done as POTUS
May 26, 2023
On January 20, 2021, Former vice president Joe Biden became the oldest president when he was elected, and it’s been 2 years since in which we have been under Biden’s leadership. Which has the nation divided on their view of how well the POTUS has done so far, especially as the nation’s leading two political parties has been as divided as ever. Which of course has caused a lot of controversy over the president and his leadership. In my personal opinion I think he’s been not much different, I’d rate him as a president a D+.
Before his presidency, Biden was vice president from 2009-2017 under Barack Obama, who not only made history as the first African-American to be president, but made significant progress for the working class with important things like Obamacare. I don’t hear much about what Biden has done so far that’s benefitted us. The public opinion about president Biden has also dipped, with his approval rating at 40%, according to reuters.com, which close to the lowest level he’s received. The main concern was about Biden’s handling of immigration and inflation.
Under president Biden, inflation shot up crazy with multiple prices of consumer prices skyrocketing, mainly for gas. Which many people wasn’t happy with at all, as many people drive to get to places in our country. I don’t really think he’s took a sort of responsibility and initiative to turn things around in the U.S., which many people don’t really like, and I can sort of agree with. Ideally you want a hard nose president like FDR or someone who connects and speaks for the people. He may try his best, but it feels as if his best is quite lackluster to be honest. I truly believe President Biden could’ve done a lot more for the people in the time he’s been president, which is why I rate him a D+, because after all he’s been helping Ukraine fight off the Russians in their attempted invasion giving lots of money and weapons.
