Alone With Your Phone

Picture this; you’re at the beach with your closest friends. You guys are laughing and having so much fun. Except for that one friend. The one whose eyes are glued to their phone like their life depends on it.

What’s going on? What’s so important? A new movie came out? Their favorite YouTuber posted a new video. Or maybe they’re talking to their other friends through social media.

Teens nowadays are so stuck on what’s going on online rather than living in the moment. They miss important events because they would prefer to sit on their phone and not talk to anyone don’t get me wrong. I am on my phone for more than half of the day, snapping my friends and scrolling through TikTok, I also know how to manage my phone time with my school, work and family time I know at the end of the day whatever is going on my phone can wait. It is not my main priority.

It shouldn’t be yours either. How many times have you stayed up all night playing on your phone? Then you walk into school the next morning and remember your math homework that you didn’t do. But I buy the time first. Period starts you’re already asleep on your desk. Look who’s not getting their participation points for this week.

being glued to your phone 24 seven is just going to push people away from you. You’re going to start to realize that nobody wants to hang out with someone who is obsessed with their phone. Try managing the time you use on your phone and the time that you’re hanging out with your friends to a better level. Maybe you’ll make a new friend!
