Adding A Chapter Of Fear

The original cast of the acclaimed horror film “Insidious”, directed by James Wan and written by Leigh Whannel, is making a much anticipated comeback with ‘Insidious Chapter 2’.This sequel to ‘Insidious’ includes the elements of mystery, suspense, and horror and is rated PG 13 for intense sequences of terror and violence along with thematic elements.

Insidious Chapter 2 follows the Lambert family, played by Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, and Ty Simpkins, as they suffer through the plague of terrifying paranormal activity that came from the spirit world called “the further.”

“In ‘Insidious Chapter 2’ we wanted to pick up right where the last one left off,” says Whannel, writer of both ‘Insidious’ and the sequel. Critic ratings for ‘Insidious Chapter 2’ vary, from positive to negative.

“It’s an accomplished follow-up that doesn’t feel like the lazy studio financier-instigated cash-in,” Tim Evans from movie player Sky Movies said.

Not all ratings praise the filmmakers.

“For all but the most forgiving horror movie fans, this is a lazy, stupid and incoherent failure,” Nigel Floyd from Time Out New York said.

Fellow students around school say that they either want to go see ‘Insidious Chapter 2” as soon as possible or they have no desire to see it at all, there is almost no in-between.

“I want to see it because of the way the first one ended. It left you hanging,” freshman Rylea Carver said.
