The Terrific Titus

Maturing into a respectable young adult may be challenging for some, but for Senior Gregory Titus, it was not a struggle.
Titus has been involved in various activities throughout high school which have kept him occupied.
“My parents seemed to always keep me in different things so I was busy all the time,” Titus stated. “I was usually doing something for lacrosse most of the time.”
Titus is an experienced lacrosse goalie who has been around the sport for several years.
“I started playing lacrosse when I was in second grade. I was too fat to play football because I had to play in the division for kids two years older than me. Goalie seemed fun, so I started at that and have been going ever since,” noted Titus.
Titus has since been the starting goalie for the Freedom High School Lacrosse team since freshman year.
“When lacrosse season started my freshman year, it was a competition for starting goalie between me and a senior named Cullen Watson. We shared games but after about half way through the season, I was the starter. The best memory of playing high school lacrosse would be when we beat Wharton my junior year. We had a losing streak to them so it was nice to end it,” said the senior.
Titus has also been involved in other extracurriculars, such as Young Life.
“I have a blast. I hangout with kids from other schools like my homies from Gaither,” shared Titus. “We eat food, talk and some religious stuff. I’ve done it since freshman year, so I have gotten to make a lot of friends who I will hopefully have later in life, too.”
Titus has also performed well academically.
“I’m going to FSU next year to major in mechanical engineering. FSU is probably going to hold some of the best memories of my life, so I’m excited to get up there,” said Titus.
After college, Titus already has his goals set.
“My aunt works for a company. I’m not sure exactly what they do. It is something to do with engineering, so at least my degree won’t go to waste,” noted Titus. ” I want to work there because it seems like they have a lot of fun.”
Titus plans to enjoy the remainder of senior year as it winds down.
“I’m just going to keep working to make some good money and make sure I get some quality time with friends before I head up to Tallahassee,” he remarked.
