FHS Homerun Derby Fundraiser

Matt Bogdanoff, Staff Writer

Saturday October 28th, the Freedom baseball and cheerleading team will hold the 2nd annual Homerun Derby Fundraiser 6:30pm-10:30pm. Proceeds earned will go directly to the baseball and cheer program to purchase new equipment and other necessities.

Admission is $5 per person, but a family of 4 costs $15, with $5 per additional child. The Homerun Derby is Halloween themed, so dressing up in a costume is encouraged. The best costume, chosen by parents and coaches, will win a $25 gift card.

Other activities for the children to enjoy include face painting, bounce house, and trunk or treat. Snow cones and other concessions will be available for purchase throughout the Homerun Derby.

The Derby will be divided into 3 brackets: freshman/sophomore baseball players, junior/senior baseball players, and adults. Yes, that’s right – adults can buy their way into the derby for $20. The winners of each bracket will then face off to determine the champion of the 2nd Homerun Derby champion in Freedom history.

It’s shaking up to be an unforgettable night. Members of the Freedom baseball and cheer program hope to see fellow Patriots and friends Saturday night.
