Andraos Scoopin’ Stacks

Ten months ago, Kristina Andraos walked into Caffe Italiano for her first day of work. Her job responsibilities include scooping gelato and making panini sandwiches. Despite mediocre hours and customer issues, Andraos enjoys working most of the time and is recognized as a key person in running the restaurant at Wiregrass Mall.

Many workers in the restaurant business would agree that customers can ruin an employee’s day. Andraos has a few complaints involving customers, just as most would in her position.

“People come in pretending they want gelato but take a lot of samples and leave,” said Andraos. “Also, when people walk in minutes before closing with a big order.”

Andraos also described the difficulties of working long hours, including standing for extended periods of time.

Although Andraos sometimes gets aggravated with customers, she always enjoys seeing new customers as well as regulars.

“Meeting different types of people [customers] who come in,” said Andraos. “The environment is really good, people always come in with a good attitude, like our regulars who work in the mall.”

Along with a few pleasant customers, Andraos also enjoys working at 365 because of the feeling of nostalgia.

“It’s a fun job. I’ve been going there since I was a kid to get crepes, and I never would have thought I would be the one to make them,” she stated.

Overall, it seems that working at 365 has been a positive experience for Andraos, as she has gained experience, memories, and money.
