How Would YOU Change the Past?

The phrase “no regrets” has become the excuse of the century. The current philosophy sweeping this generation of teens is all about “living in the now” but we still tend to look back at decisions and wish some of them were never made.

“I really wish I hadn’t quit gymnastics,” said Junior Tori Millington.

“I definitely wouldn’t have let my nine year old self get blonde highlights,” said Freshman Cathryn Boga.

“I wish I learned more languages when I was younger,” said Senior Nina Curkovic.

“I would go back to last summer and change all those wasted away days spent sleeping into ones filled with volunteering and SAT studying,” said Junior Shahla Hassanyar.

“I would go back to my earlier high school years and tell my younger self to spend more time doing the things I enjoy,” said Senior Elizabeth Cheung.

“It would be nice to have spent more time with my family before I leave for college,” said Senior Will Shima.

“I wish I would’ve pushed myself harder during Cross Country season,” said Sophomore Lauren Doebele.

“I honestly wouldn’t change a thing,” said Freshman Andres Procel. “Everything in your past makes you who you are today.”

Although time travel would be beneficial for erasing awkward moments or embarrassing events in the past, our choices define who we are today. We have our past to thank for the great futures we have ahead of us.
