Things To Do This Fall
Fall is considered to be many people’s favorite seasons, especially the students at Freedom High School. Fall lasts from the beginning from September 1st to November 30th and is a season full of festivities and the transition into a colder year.
“Fall is one of my favorite times of the year! Everything is so cozy and they have the new Starbucks drinks. I just wish it would get colder and stay that way,” said junior Casey Damato.
Even though Florida has been infamous for staying humid and hot throughout the year, Freedom students still partake in wardrobe changes and fall activities.
“My family [and I] carve pumpkins and we go to the pumpkin patch. I also change my outfits into warmer stuff, like sweaters, even though it doesn’t get cold and I like buying fall candles,” said freshman Lauren Blair.
In addition to changing into sweaters and buying fall-related items, students also enjoy the two major holidays that “fall” within the season. While some may not celebrate Halloween or Thanksgiving, many students are thrilled for these holidays.
“I love Halloween! I love the days leading up to Halloween too because they show some of the best movies, like ‘Hocus Pocus’. Usually on Halloween I’ll dress up and go out with my friends,” said junior Terry Tan.
Some students who don’t celebrate Halloween, spend their day participating in other activities. For instance, former student Emily Brenner spends her day “baking and watching movies”. She loves the Honey Crisp apples that are sold at this time and recommends buying as many as you can while they’re still a decent price.
Overall, students at Freedom have suggested some activities that they enjoy doing throughout this season.
