As concerns about the environment continue to grow, students at Freedom are stepping up to
do their part to make a positive impact. From reducing waste to conserving energy, there are
many simple things that students can do to care for the environment and help build a
sustainable future.
One way that students can help is by reducing waste. This can be as simple as bringing a
reusable water bottle instead of using disposable plastic bottles, or bringing a reusable lunch
container instead of using plastic bags or wrappers. Students can also help by properly
disposing of their waste in designated recycling and compost bins, instead of throwing it in the
trash.
Another way to care for the environment is by conserving energy. Students can turn off lights
and electronics when they are not in use, and unplug chargers when they are not charging a
device. This helps to reduce the amount of energy that is used, which in turn helps to reduce
greenhouse gas emissions and conserve natural resources.
Students can also help by being mindful of their transportation choices. Walking, biking, or
taking public transportation to school can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and
improve air quality. If driving is necessary, students can carpool with friends or family members
to reduce the number of cars on the road.

Finally, students can advocate for environmental action and awareness. They can participate in
environmental clubs or organizations, attend community events or rallies, and educate others
about the importance of caring for the environment.

By taking these simple steps, students at our school can make a positive impact on the
environment and help build a more sustainable future. Together, we can all do our part to care
for the planet and protect the natural resources that we all depend on.

Students at our school are showing a growing awareness of the importance of taking care of the
environment, and are becoming more involved in efforts to protect it. From participating in
environmental clubs and organizations to organizing events and campaigns, students are taking
an active role in promoting sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint.

One way that students are getting involved is through community service projects. Students are
organizing clean-up events in local parks and natural areas, picking up litter and planting trees
to restore habitats and prevent erosion. Others are volunteering at local organizations focused
on conservation and sustainability, learning about the issues and taking action to address them.

In addition to community service, students are also making changes in their own lives to reduce
their impact on the environment. Some are choosing to eat more plant-based diets, which have
been shown to be more sustainable and have a lower carbon footprint than diets high in animal
products. Others are choosing to buy local and organic produce, reducing the amount of carbon
emissions associated with transportation and supporting local farmers.

Another way that students are making a difference is by advocating for policy changes at the
local, state, and national levels. Students are writing letters to elected officials, attending public
meetings, and speaking out on social media about issues like climate change, renewable
energy, and conservation. They are calling for more action to be taken to protect the
environment and preserve natural resources for future generations.

As students at our school continue to take action and make a positive impact on the
environment, they are setting an example for others to follow. By working together and taking
small steps towards a more sustainable future, we can make a big difference in protecting the
planet and ensuring that it remains healthy and vibrant for generations to come.
