GIRLS SOCCER SENIOR NIGHT

On Friday, January 14th, 2022, the girls’ soccer team celebrated the senior class of 2022 during
halftime of their game against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School. The game ended early with
Freedom winning with a mercy rule score of 8-0.
Nine seniors were honored at the game, walked down the field with family members/ friends and had
fun facts announced along with their names. Camryn Bliss felt that the best part of senior night was
getting to walk down the field with her family and seeing the rest of the team lined up and cheering for
her. “It hit me it’s really been four years, and that this amazing adventure is coming to an end. I felt so
much joy in that moment, I’ll remember that forever,” she said.
As for the game itself, many seniors started the game and it obviously paid off with the finishing score.
Katherine Vivas said, “the game was super good, a lot of our seniors scored, and the vibes of the game
were honestly just really fun.” This past week has been quite a way to end the regular season,
maintaining their undefeated game record.
To end off the festive night, the girls team went to one of the player’s houses where they, “did karaoke
and just dance,” Dani Duncan said. The girls feel that their relationships and bonds with each other have
made the season unforgettable.
“The support of our classmates and teachers out in the crowd made us feel honored to walk down the
field,” Duncan said.
