All FHS students interested in playing baseball should be aware of the upcoming schedule. This Monday, January 29, Coach B will be hosting spring baseball tryouts immediately following school.

Students attending tryouts should come prepared with their bat, glove, cleats, and baseball pants. In addition, all students planning on trying out must have their athletic paperwork completed, or they will not be allowed to tryout.

“It’s an exciting time when tryouts roll around,” said Coach B. “Anyone interested is more than welcome to come tryout for this team but I am very confident in the roster we currently have. Our team has vastly improved over the past year and I think we can surprise a lot of people this spring.”

The players are also preaching Coach B’s message.

“There never truly is an off-season in baseball,” commented Catcher Hunter Kniskern, 12. “If you want to be the best you have to put in the work away from the field and this team certainly has.”

First Baseman Brendan Abel, 12, added, “We pride ourselves on our work ethic and those are the types of players this program looks to build around.”

Coach B will post the final roster Tuesday morning on his door in room 141. He estimates that roughly 22 players will make the final cut.
