Electric Daisy Carnival

Electric+Daisy+Carnival

EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) has been a major event in Orlando every year since it first arrived in 1997. With more and more people attending every single year, the event seems to draw better and more popular DJ’s as well.

This year the event took place at Tinker Field in Orlando, on November 6th and November 7th. The ticket prices for both days ranged from anywhere between 170 to 270 dollars.

The gates opened on both days at around 11 a.m. Although the concert is held outdoors, nothing can cause it to end early except for lightning. Other than that whether it’s raining outside or shining bright the concert will continue.

EDC had over 75 artists perform both days throughout the whole day including, Calvin Harris, DJ Snake, Flux Pavilion, Tiesto, Carnage, and many more.

On top of DJ’s performing on multiple stages all day, EDC offers free carnival rides and even a zip-line that goes over the whole event. These are open all day and are used by many when they want to take a little break from the blaring music.

“I went to EDC last year and that was my first time, I really didn’t think anything could be better than that. This year I came with some of my friends and it was just an awesome experience, I love the type of music and the environment is sick,” said Blake Hufstetler, Junior.

It isn’t just the music that people seem to enjoy while going to EDC but also the people they meet from all around the world, as well as the lights and fireworks at night.

“This was my first time ever going to a concert like this, I’ve only been to a couple country concerts and they do not compare at all. I went with a couple of my friends and it was such a good time, especially at night. The props they use on stage and the lights and fireworks make it really cool,” said Brian Seybold, Junior.

EDC continues to draw a bigger and bigger crowd every year and doesn’t’ seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
