If you asked anybody who they thought would win the national championship at the beginning of the season they probably wouldn’t have said Ohio State after their Heisman front runner quarterback Braxton Miller injured his shoulder that he previously hurt in the orange bowl against Clemson then it was next man up for the buckeyes and it was JT Barrett out of Wichita Falls Texas who was the buckeyes next starting quarterback Barrett started off slow and then got better as the year went on and he ended up finishing fifth in the Heisman trophy voting. And then during the Michigan game JT went down with a broken ankle and it was once again next man up for the buckeyes the whole state of Ohio had to rely on a man named Cardele Jones or as most people call him 12 gauge.

All the doubt started after Braxton Miller reinjured his shoulder then again after the buckeyes lost their second game to Virginia tech and the BIG TEN had a big ten debacle on the same day and then everything changed as Ohio State would go on to win all the rest of their games and eventually end up national champions.

In the buckeyes first game of the season they played Navy and JT Barrett showed that he was a little nervous as he threw a couple of interceptions. But the buckeyes would end up pulling the game out and won 34-17.

The buckeyes would struggle against the Virginia tech hokies as the offensive line would struggle to hold back the blitzing Virginia Tech defense as the buckeyes would hit the low point of their season and lost 35-21

After the Virginia tech loss Ohio State went on to destroy Kent State 66-0 the offense found its grove again as Barrett six touchdown passes and Curtis Samuel would rush for two touchdowns for 100 yards.

The buckeyes played lights out against Cincinnati and went on to win 50-28. Ezekiel Elliott led the buckeyes to victory in this game with 182 rushing yards and 51 receiving

Then the buckeyes took a walk in the park on the road in Maryland and won 52-14. In their BIG TEN opener as Barrett threw for 267 yards four touchdowns and 71 rushing yards

In the next game the buckeyes said good knight to the knights by beating Rutgers 56-17 in the homecoming game. JT Barrett racked up five touchdowns to win the game.

The next game for the buckeyes would be a struggle but they would eventually end up pulling out a victory against Penn state in a hostile environment at beaver stadium the buckeyes would win 31-24 in double overtime with a clutch JT Barrett and Joey Bosa who pushed a blocker in to the Quarterback to sack the QB on fourth down to win the game for the buckeyes.

THE Buckeyes would then go home and end up Romping Illinois 55-14 to win their 20^th straight Regular-Season Big Ten Contest. As Curtis Samuel would rush for two touchdowns to lead the buckeyes to victory

In the next game the buckeyes would end up getting their signature victory that would help them argue for a chance to be involved in the College football Championship as they beat number seven Michigan State in East Lansing 49-37.

The buckeyes would get a frozen treat in their next game as they played Minnesota in Minneapolis 31-24 as JT Barrett rushed for 189 yards during the frigid contest.

In the next game the buckeyes beat Indiana 42-27 to clinch the eastern division title in the BIG TEN. As Jalin Marshall would lift the buckeyes to victory by returning a punt and catching a couple touchdowns

On senior day the buckeyes played their rivals Michigan and won 42-28 but they had a big loss in a big win as Barrett fractured his ankle but it would end up making way for Cardele jones who would have three big games and end up winning a national championship.

In the BIG TEN Championship game nobody knew what to expect out of the Buckeyes and Cardale Jones. As the buckeyes were still trying to get a spot into the playoff the buckeyes would end up making a statement and beat Wisconsin 59-0 the defense played lights out and shut down one of the best running backs in college football Heisman candidate Melvin Gordon. And Cardale Jones and Ezekiel Elliott would have great games and lead the buckeyes to victory.

On New Year’s Day there was a battle on the bayou as Ohio State would roll Alabama 42-35 in the sugar bowl playoff game. As the buckeyes defense would shut down another Heisman Candidate Amari Cooper. Then Cardale jones, zeke and Devin Smith would go on to have good games again. The offensive MVP was Ezekiel Elliott and the defensive MVP was Daron lee. Then it was on to the National Championship for the Buckeyes as the Buckeyes would face the Oregon Ducks in the first College football playoff National Championship at AT&T Stadium.

On January 12^th the Ohio State Buckeyes would face the Oregon ducks in the playoffs the whole world would be watching and LeBron James was in the stadium supporting the buckeyes. And the buckeyes would cruise right to an easy victory as Cardale Jones and Ezekiel Elliott would take over control and beat Oregon 42-17. Coach Urban Meyer said “The chase is complete.   These guys accepted their final mission and did it. It was our final mantra the past few weeks and I’m very grateful for the work these guys put in.” as Urban Meyer put himself in discussion for one of the best win loss records and winning three national championships. Cardale said “It’s even better than I thought. It’s an unreal feeling. The seniors never could win a bowl game in four years. This is for them.” On winning the national championship Ezekiel said this is a surreal moment. It’s why we all came here. After all we went through, this is crazy. It doesn’t feel real.” the buckeyes will open up next season at Virginia Tech but for now they will celebrate their eighth national championship
