February 5, 2014 was a big day for several Freedom High School seniors. Seven students signed a National Letter of Intent to play sports at different college athletic programs around the country. Many family members and friends attended the ceremony to support each athlete.

The first athlete to sign a Letter of Intent was Dana Jones. She will be attending Wilmington University in Deleware, and she will compete on Wilmington’s varsity soccer team.

The next soccer player to sign a Letter of Intent was Hanna Seybold. Seybold signed with Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh and will play on the university’s varsity soccer program.

The third athlete to sign a Letter of Intent was Marc Berson. Berson is attending Bowdoin College in Maine and is going to swim for Bowdoin’s varsity swim team.

Andrew Anderson followed Berson, signing his Letter of Intent to Northeastern Junior College in Colorado. Anderson plans to play on the varsity baseball team.

Following Anderson in the signing order was Jason Canada. Canada signed with Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, where he will join the university’s football team.

Dillon Browne was the next athlete to sign a Letter of Intent. Browne will be playing football for the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Browne will be representing the Falcons on the field and off the field as he will be training to become an officer in the Air Force until graduation.

DJ Grant was the last athlete to sign his Letter of Intent to conclude the ceremony. Grant chose to play football for Warner University in Lake Wales, Fl.

We wish these athletes the best of luck in their future endeavors.
