Stellar Spring Break

Freedom students enjoyed their spring break this year. Several students traveled across the state, and even across the country this week to spend time with their family and friends.

Elli Bahl, 11, traveled to Beech Mountain in North Carolina during her spring break. Bahl celebrated her 17th birthday out snowboarding in North Carolina.

“I have always loved snowboarding and it was so fun to go out and hit the slopes. I went with my family and if I had to go anywhere else, I would have gone surfing at the beach,” Bahl, 11, explained.

Angela Montana, 9, was surprised by her parents with a trip over spring break. “I went to Arizona, traveled to different cities there, and visited the Grand Canyon. I went with my parents, it was my first time in Arizona,” Montana, 9, said.

Kyla Hoffbauer, 12, wishes she could have gone to Hawaii for spring break, but acknowledges that it would not have been a good idea because of the Coronavirus.

“Over break I mostly did a lot of homework on some projects I had for school. For two days I went to Boca Grande with some of my friends, Owen, Cambell, Tessa, Zach, Andrew, and Nagendra. I had a great time with them.”

Owen Smith’s family was renting a beach house there so his friends got to visit.

Will Shea, 12, visited the University of Florida campus during spring break.

“I went with my friends Will and Matt because we are all planning to attend school there this upcoming fall. We wanted to get a look at the campus to see what it looks like,” Shea said.
