Spring break gives students a final break in the school year before summer, and a week to unwind and relax before the final quarter of the year starts. Students at Freedom High School have different plans on how to spend their week off.  

   Florida is a great place to vacation to since there’s so many places to travel, like Key West, St. Augustine, Orlando, and many other cities. 

   “I’m going to Key West over spring break,” said Hannah Oppegard,11. “I’m going camping with my family, and we’re going to visit the beaches there.”  

   The week off can be a great opportunity to travel with family, or to visit family. For others, the week can be spent making money by working extra hours they’d typically be in school for.

   “I’ll be working over spring break,” said Sanaa Joachim,11. “I work at the Culvers at the Outlet malls.” 

Living in Florida offers students easy access to all the activities tourists enjoy on their vacations here.

   “I’m staying in  Florida for the week,” said Gunnar Gierschke, 11. “I’ll probably go the beach or downtown over break, since there’s a lot to do in Florida anyways.”
