While Kanye West’s musical impact has made a huge influence in Hip-Hop, some argue his clothing influence is just as big.

Kanye has worked with many companies to express his art in the fashion industry. Dating back to his first collaboration with Nike in 2006 to present day collaboration with Adidas. The words “Kanye” and “sneakers” in the same sentence causes people to go frantic. The commotion he brings with sneakers is undeniably big.

“Anyone who is into sneakers knows that Kanye has so much power in the sneaker game. He can wear a shoe and it will be sought after by everyone,” said Junior David Johnson.

It wasn’t until 2015 when Kanye debut his first clothing line. Partnering up with Adidas, Kanye got to design and showcase his garments in Yeezy Season 1.

“Honestly when I heard Kanye was releasing clothes, I knew I needed to get my hands on it. I saved up money for a month to buy at least one article of clothing from Season 1. The prices were really high, but I got a shirt,” said Seung Park, senior.

Since the release of Yeezy Season 1, Kanye has released Yeezy Season 2. He has now announced the release of Yeezy Season 3.

“I will be trying my best to get something in Season 3. If the prices are as high as before, I don’t know what I’ll get,” said Park.

Kanye has showcased his clothing in cinemas worldwide. He has completed his life long dream of showcasing his clothing line in Madison Square Garden in New York City.

“For years Kanye has always talked about showing his collection at Madison Square Garden! I’m so happy to see his dream become a reality!!!” tweeted Kim Kardashian.

The showcase of Yeezy Season 3 continued the tradition of showcasing the line in theaters. The show included a hearing session of Kanye’s new album T.L.O.P. Each ticket came with a digital download of the album; some even came with merchandise.

“The show was amazing! Everything about it was beautiful and creative. He did an amazing job showcasing Yeezy Season 3,” stated junior Keith Smith.

Kanye West hopes to continue to make clothing in collaboration with Adidas. He stated on Twitter that he will be focusing on children’s clothes in Yeezy Season 4. He also wishes to be the creative manager at Hermes.
