Noted Cartoon Voice Dies

On December 22 2014 Christine Cavanaugh passes away in Cedar City, Utah at the age of 51. Cavanaugh is a well-known for her amazing work as the well know 90’s cartoons. Including Dexter from “Dexter laboratory”, red headed Chuckie Finster from the “Regrets” and many other. She also known for being an actress in some TV shows including everybody loves Raymond and many more. Just in 2001 Cavanaugh retired from her voice over work to be closer to her family.

Christine Cavanaugh career really took off when she got the role as Gosalyn Mallard, the adopted daughter of Drake Mallard on the “DuckTales” also on the spinoff of “Darkwing Duck.” And soon after was the red headed baby Chucky Finster in the “Regrets” with the 90 show the “Regrets” Cavanaugh formed a real connection with the cartoon character Chuckie Finster.

“He’s easy to do, because he’s like me. Chuckie and I worry about things, and there’s a lot to be worried about.” “He’s a nerdy sidekick. Yeah, he’s Tommy’s best friend. You know, everybody feels for the kid who’s scared or the kid who’s kind of the put-down kid. Everybody relates to that. We’ve all experienced it. And it always gives him someplace to go, because you know he’s going to overcome it in some way. You’re rooting for him.” “He usually bucks up because Tommy needs it or one of the other characters needs it. He doesn’t do it intentionally on his own for his own sake.”

Many people will remember her for all her hard work and making the characters she voiced feel so real. Without a doubt many can tell that she had a true passion for all the roles she played as an amazing voice over she will always remain in our hearts. “I like animation art – the drawings. And there are a lot of people inside of me. With voice-overs, I get to be different people.”
