Maze Runner has been the best movie of the year so far. According to David Blaustein from ABC news, the beginning of this wildly popular film is already Blaustein’s favorite part as he explains, “struggling to find a way out of a large, gated elevator ascending an industrial-type elevator shaft. It’s intense, claustrophobic and intriguing.”

This dramatic film takes place in the future, which is already appealing to the adolescent mind. It involves fan favorites such as Dylan O’Brien and Aml Ameen, Ki Hong Lee, Blake Cooper, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Will Poulter, and Kara Scoldelario. Overall, there is nothing to complain about in this film.

However, other sources, such as Doug Norrie from cinemablend.com, find that, “The Maze Runner very much feels like the movie studios are just grabbing for everything under the sun and adapting it hoping to hit gold.”

Although the movie has some negative reviews pointing out the fact it is “just like every other teen movie,” it’s still all the rage. In my opinion, I happen to find the Maze Runner truly incredible, especially since I personally adore the undying suspense that flows throughout the entire film. I also enjoyed the magnificent detail of the immense maze and terrifying “grievers”.

Cathleen King, a 14 year old freshman, explains,“The maze runner is an action adventure movie with a tad of romance but keeps you guessing along the way.”

It seems that the Maze Runner is a true fan favorite.
